Cecil Studio is Cécile Maingot, a French graphic designer and art director. She aims to achieve contemporary, content-oriented and long-lasting visual answers for her clients' issues, among others books, visual identities, websites. Art, design and music are her playgrounds. She takes part in processes at an early stage, before any design is involved. She also collaborates with people from other creative fields to achieve multi-disciplinary projects, bringing together graphic design and volume, culture and research.

Based between Paris and Lisbon, she works in french, english and portuguese.

Born in 1991, Cécile Maingot studied Graphic Design at École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (Paris) and Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee. After graduated, she has worked on a broad range of projects in the cultural field, within Frédéric Teschner Studio and Atelier 25, while developing her own practice. Key projects of this period include beyong others the visual identity of Journées du Patrimoine (with Atelier 25), identity and editorial for cultural events or institutions such as Reevox Festival, French Association of Development of Contemporary Arts Centers, Bellastock (architecture Festival)...

In 2017, she became art director of Sotheby’s France, were she took in charge all print and digital graphic design for sales proposals, exhibitions and auctions. There, she developed a strong knowledge of history of art, as well as a deeper understanding of art market and its issues. She is now running her own creative direction practice between Paris and Lisbon. Convinced that multi-disciplinarity is the best way to achieve contemporary and innovative answers, she collaborates with various talents, from designers to photographers, videographers, set designers, artists, curators…
